OGDEN — This month’s First Friday Art Stroll will begin with a celebration of the Painted Streets Project, held from 4 to 5 p.m. at Ogden Platforms, located at the northwest corner of 25th Street and Adams Avenue.
Following that, the stroll will be held from 6-9 p.m. Friday, July 6, in downtown Ogden. Below is a sampling of the other events that will be part of the art stroll. Ogden City’s website, which provided the following information, said the list may be incomplete.
Art Box, 215 25th St. — Will feature the landscape oil paintings of local artist Paige Barth.
Bella Muse, 101 25th St. — Will feature the art of Allie Zeyer.
Cuppa, 552 E 25th St.— Will feature Steve Smock and his paintings as their July artist.
Eccles Community Art Center, 2580 Jefferson Ave. — Will feature Western-themed artwork for Ogden Pioneer Days: Traces of the West. The invitation competition will run from July 6-28. A reception will be held during the art stroll from 5-8 p.m. More contest information can be found here.
Gallery 25, 268 25th St. — Will feature the water color art of Barbara Oxborrow and Jan Moyes. Live music will be provided by John Burrows of the Wasatch Wild Band. Refreshments will be served.
Grounds for Coffee, 111 25th St.— Will feature McKenna Powell.
Grounds for Coffee, 3005 Harrison Blvd. — Will feature Abby Musgrove.
Harley and Bucks, 2432 Washington Blvd.— Will feature the work of Aleta Cobabe this month.
Kaffe Mercantile, 2276 Washington Blvd., Suite 101— Will feature the paintings of Lindsea Garside.
Nurture the Creative Mind — Will feature the piano parade this month. Six musicians will play on six pianos placed from 25th Street to the Junction.
Ogden First Inc.’s PLATFORMS, corner of 25th Street and Adams Avenue — Will feature the exhibit “Exquisite Vine Tapestry Project.” The burlap tapestry features a continuous vine created by 30 artists in 48 hours.
RE/MAX Community-Valley, 227 25th St. — Will feature local artist Jennifer Ray-Kellerstrauss.
The Front Climbing Club, 225 20th St. — Will feature art by Sam Van Orman and live music by Katya & Moodlite. Drinks and small bites will be served. Climbing will be available as well.
The Local Artisan Collective, 2371 Kiesel Ave. — Will feature Mindy Stevens Brown from Mindy’s Custom Vinyl as their artist of the month.
• Chelsi Dixon and Sonja Hollings from Bee Sweet Fudge will provide samples.
• Charity Judkins from Modern Elemental Ergon will be demonstrating the Lichtenburg method for Fire it Up Friday’s out in front of the store.
• Jill Braucher from Sew Hip Designs will do demonstrations on pillow charms.
• Rene Venegas from Galleon's Gold Jewelry will do a silver ring class from 6-7:30 p.m.
• The first Little Artisan's Market will feature artwork for sale made by students from kindergarten to 12th grade. The market will be from 5-9 p.m.
Wasatch Roasting Company, 2436 Grant Ave. — Will feature art by Steve Smock, the July artist. The outside Origin-Alley Art Gallery will feature seating for live music by Black Labrador. Hot and cold drinks will be served from the full espresso bar and the nitro cold brew taps, in addition to hot chocolates, teas, affogatos, nitro-floats, cheese and crackers.
The Weber Center, 2380 Washington Blvd. — Will continue to feature the Mark Seawell exhibit presented by Amped Arts.
Zucca Underground, 225 25th St.— Will feature the art of Bryden Bowley and the textile art of Audrey Christensen.
